measuring the collar

Important!

The measurements of circumference and length differ, which may result in incorrect size information.

Therefore, DO NOT measure the collar while it's open! Otherwise, your collar will be too big.

Collar with buckle:

Measure directly on the dog

For a firm collar, the neck circumference is crucial: Please use a tape measure and measure exactly on your dog's neck where the collar should sit.

Old collar

If your dog still has a well-fitting collar, you can also use this to measure. To do this, please measure the inner circumference of the closed (!) collar. Use a flexible measuring tape here as well. Fasten the old collar. Collar so that it fits best on your dog's neck and then measure the inner circumference (inside of the collar) flush.

Anti-pull collar

When pulled or closed, the anti-choke collar should only become tight enough to prevent the dog from choking or being able to back out of the collar.

Closed:

It's best to use a flexible tape measure for this measurement. It's best to measure directly behind the skull bone at the narrowest part of the neck.

Open:

When open, the choke collar should fit snugly over the head and sit loosely around the neck. Measure the head circumference at the widest point in front of the ears.

Neck circumference:

You can also specify the neck circumference where the collar would sit. There's a slider on it for adjustment.
